Hi Frank.
I also got Green River. Love this track. Well, take me back down where cool water flow, yeh. Let me remember things I love. Stoppin' at the log where catfish bite, Walkin' along the river road at night, Barefoot girls dancin' in the moonlight. I can hear the bull frog callin' me. Wonder if my rope's still hangin' to the tree. Love to kick my feet way down the shallow water, Shoe fly, dragon fly, get back t your mother. Pick up a flat rock, skip it across Green River. Up at Cody's camp I spent my days, oh, With flat car riders and cross-tie walkers. Old Cody, Junior took me over, Said, you're gonna find the world is smouldrin' And if you get lost come on home to Green River. |

May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

I thought when you said "Blistering form", Frank, the track was gonna be "Blister on the Moon".

It troubles me slightly when I read stuff about the shortage of vinyl plants out there and that the technology might not survive long term. I would hope that record companies are looking at buidling new machines - I'm sure it's do-able but perhaps it isn't financially viable?. I think the author of that article is being slightly unfair when he talks about much of the vinyl being available in "charity shops". While he has a point, to an extent, and you can get the odd bargain, the quality of vinyl shoved into those shops often leaves a lot to be desired and also a lot of 'new' music is being released on vinyl because the kids (perhaps not everyone, admittedly) have gotten into the format as well. With all of that said, the record companies (and, by extension, record stores like Tower and HMV) have gotten greedy - some of the prices they are charging for vinyl (even if it is 180gram) is outrageous. I'll stick to places like spindizzy for older albums and only fork out full price for the new albums (this year being stuff like Steven Wilson, Steve Hackett, Queensryche, Iron Maiden and Jeff Lynne's ELO).
