Just final thought on this topic and maybe it doesnt make sense. I still, occasionally, enjoy trawling back through various topics on this site and reading what fellow grovers were discussing and debating back in the day.
If it is decided (by who, except us!) to "close down" the site could/should it be done on an incremental basis, ie, close it to new posts, updates etc - but leave the existing content as read-only for some period of time before the plug is finally.pulled? Some of the older posts are really fascinating (to me anyway!!!)

Just a thought ... Smile

Lads its hard to disagree that this site is reaching a natural end. While I have loved the site in all its interesting topic and sub-topic pages over the years, people have almost totally migrated to FB -  including myself. Only a coupke of topic pages are accessed in any way regularly. Pat was a huge stalwart of the site, but with him gone (RIP) its really Sean and, very occasionally myself, on here...its a terrible shame but no point in being like that Japanese soldier fighting the war 30 years after it was finished.
I think another relic of oul dacency is nearing its end ...Cry

Sean, all, i was thinking something similar. Perhaps the site here has run its course. Will continue to post shows if useful, but happy to stick with other media if more realistic going forward.

Please also note that with Pat McMorrows passing last week, we are planning a tribute to Pat in a show early in the new year. We will update on that soon.
