I notice we have 266 forum members but we only seem to get posts from a handful of people. I'm wondering why?  Are the topics not interesting? Are new members put off by the amount of posts from the few? Has the Forum become jaded and does it need a review? Are members not familiar with using the system? I don't run this Forum but I have found it very interesting and met a nice bunch of people here who all have one thing in common, i.e we all went to the Grove at various times. Would members care to reply and perhaps give ideas as to what would make this Forum make you want to participate more. The bigger the contribution the more interesting the Forum. Hi Pat I know the one thing that made me slightly were was that most of posts were from same few people who all seemed to know one another really well . So took the easy option and started on Word assoc game. Then got a couple of PM's from people who made me feel welcome and encouraged me to join in and rest is history as they say ...... Maybe a thread for "newbies explaining how it works etc have to say now I've stared I love it ------------- Blondie I generally avoid temptation unless I can't resist it ! |

I know there is a group of us on here that talk but we all started from the same place - just popped on and put in a post and one answered the other and so forth. Come on lads please join in as we love to have newbies as well as oldies.. we don't own the place we just enjoy it and wish you would take that chance also. The one thing I like most about this forum is there is no mean talk just a bit of craic and fun unlike the other forums I have looked at. Absolutely agree 100%. Really hope no one is put off by the fact that there's a few of us always here, as Teresa says we just started this by replying to one another's posts and one post led to another and now look.................. We'd been agonising over how to get more people posting regularly and now slowly it seems to be happening which is great. It's all just a bit of crack ( a lot of crack actually ) and all the regulars are really nice people with no agendas other than to have a laugh and reminisce about what was a really great time in their lives. So to Blondie, Bluebell,Black Russian,Aurnia and Softlad and everyone else who has just started posting regularly please keep it up 'cos I'm sure you'll get to enjoy it as much as the rest of us lunatics do. Maybe if some of us start PM'ing some of the dormant user they might come and join us. There PM message will pop in there email and they get curious and pop in and say hello. I have spotted some user online and they have no post and I am PMing them. I don't know I may have scared them off but I haven't spotted them back yet. lol |

Hi guys will try to post more often ...but have to fight my hubby off the p.c first. Mind you he also went to the grove so maybe I should get him to start posting too.
