It is a great site with a lot of nice folks here. Enjoy and feel free to express yourself here, just as you did in The Grove.

Oh, I have a girl I'll never forget for sure

Thought so Pat.Would absolutely kill for one more night int old Grove.Went to a couple of reunions but they dont do it for me.Just reminds me of how old we have all become. That said,I will go to the Christmas reunion just to hear The Smiths,Janis Ian,Judie Tzuke etc.The slow songs in the Grove were and still are the most poignant music I have ever heard.

Ah, you shudda been at the Grove in Mount Prospect.

Now there was an atmosphere and the slow songs in those days were the business.

Wouldn't we all like to turn the clock back again for a Grove night

Next reunion come find some of us, they are more fun when a group  get together. Before the next time have a look at the photos so you will recognise a few faces and be able to say hello

There was one Grover (circa 1970) who shortly became Ireland's top model. I
won't mention her name in case she reads this, but it began with Mairéad Ní
Ch..........and it finished with .....heh kiddin'

There was another one in the early 80's Pogue. Ann Marie..............something or other .

She was real tall and one of our crew took a real shine to her.

We used remind him to bring his Milk Crate so he could ask her up during the Slow Sets.

Rolo I remember Ann Marie too........every girl hated her, she was just too perfect and we were all so jealous. Wonder what she's like now......hopefully fat and spotty with gray horrible hair ( see I'm still jealous )

That'd be Ann Marie Gannon from Artane - Miss Ireland 1985 - and she is still as gorgeous as ever .  And a lovely person as well.  Irelands Yasmin Le Bon.

I could have played for Ireland (if it wasn't for the booze and the birds)

Just remembered another Miss Ireland used to be a Grover - Collette Jackson from Moatfield Road in Artane. Although her little sister Louise was even more gorgeous .... mmmmmmmmm

Thanks Fester you just made my day
Wonder if she has ever been to any of the reunions?
She did seem like a nice girl, it was just she had everything.....looks, style, and all the boys drooling over her, it's no wonder we were all jealous of her.
