Just heard on the news that Patrick Swayze has lost his long battle with cancer. Very sad. I'm sure all of us have seen 'Dirty Dancing' at some point, along with 'Ghost', 'Point Break' and more. He will be missed.
Keep on dancing in heaven, Patrick.

It's funny how certain movies and music reflect a particular era - as Led Zeppelin & Co. did for my Grove years - Patrick Swayze and the 'Dirty Dancing' songs remind me always of 1990, German re-uniication, salsa and merengue dancing - see what can become of a headbanger - we've got rhythm!!

RIP

Awful to think how a young man with such promise could take his life like that. Very sad and a great loss to Irish boxing.

Oh No Jen...I just finished watching North and South. If you haven't seen it and you're a fan stick it on your christmas wishlist (12 one hour episodes), I never fancied him myself but I did love Dirty Dancing. May he RIP.

(Apparently him and Whoopi were very close friends since Ghost.)

So so sad that a lovely man loses his fight for life and another won't bother to fight for life.

Depression is a terrible thing. Suicide is so sad. Thats why its so important to fight when you have an illness, stay positive and focused and concentrate on making things easier for those coming after us who can't quite cope with their illness.
Sometimes it doesn't take much. When you ask somebody "how are you" it would be nice if you actually mean it.

On a lighter note, who is the best dancer, Patrick's moves or Jacko's moonwalk.
(Patrick, you have my vote)
