A lot. Used to work for Aer Lingus for more years than I care to remember.

Been there a lot and I was involved in a project which had me over and back to Atlanta, Georgia a lot.

Also have a sister living in the States...she moved around the USA... Florida, Tennessee, Connecticut...so wherever she went I went.

Had a friend and his girlfriend (now wife) living in California so I went there as well.

Went to Frisco in '84 on my own as I was on another project in vancouver and I got free tickets from the Canadian airline I was dealing woth and went to Frisco and then on down Mexico way.

But I'm always in Haight Ashbury in my mind.............if you know what I mean Wink

Was in Frisco for a week. Stayed outside but had friends who took me all around the city. Lovely place to see if you ever get the chance.

Also drove up to Lake Tahoe which was nice as we driving in snow at the time. It was Feb.

New York is great as well.

Spent a week there in '85 as my sister was working there at the time.

Pity about Twin Towers though.

Make sure you check out Greenwich Village when you go.

Ah Pat you are definitely not the oldest Rooster !!! Im 36 - my younger sisters and Len used to go to the Grove but they were in the 90's era I was there in the mid to late 80's. Its weird talking to so many people out there who went to the Grove and we were there all different years etc - its good to reminiss but by Christ I am really beginning to feel old now when you see so many of the Grovers going there in the 90's when I was practically settled down and all - my girls think im mad when I turn on all the old grovey music and dance around to it !!! Well I probably am !!!!!!

Delia,

You're only a spring chicken at 36. I was 36 in 1989

As Cecil said in the doc..........as you get older you don't have to change your musical taste.

For me music transends  age anyway and listening to music keeps you young at heart. Certainly the music I listen to.

Pat,
I was born in 1958. Someone mentioned JFK's assasination, the night he died my dad came home with an accordian  ( to the conspiracy theorists out there its just a coincidence) but  i have cause not to be overly fond of accordian music

Finno, I was born '58 too - I remember seeing JFK from my dad's workplace in Dame Street. CP

Monarch, I was thrilled to meet you on Monday.

You are a man with enormous dignity and musical knowledge and it was people like you who started the Grove in '67.

I just wished I was there in those heady days.

Keep rocking.

I have Cream on at the moment "Sunshine Of Your Love".

Ah, Monarch, they were the days

I was just going to say I am in the middle of the range age group here at 42. Then I had a think about it and I am 44!!! Feck! How does that happen that you can't remember how old you are?? Denial?? Have to go I've have lots to do and don't have as much time as I thought!

Will be joining you in that rank very shortly, GW.

Often have to do the same and re-think my age!  I was just looking at some photos in the Grove Gallery and everyone looks as they feel at the time...just great.

So even if time moves on, it's good to know we can at least revisit our youth four times a year at the Grove!

No hang ups re age. Just getting an idea re age profile on the site. It seems we span many decades which is a testimony to The Grove.

We'll miss you Sun but rock on.
