Where did you get your usename from ?

Mine is eejit91 - got married 1991 but I'm no eejit!! just live in the states and it was a password I used and a handle since the good old yanks don't know what that is!!!

I wanted to pick one based on a Grove song (and somehow 'Paranoid', ‘Psycho Killer’ & 'Lay Lady Lay' didn't really give the right impression).  Off the top of my head, I thought Lola was a nice enough name.

However, on recent closer inspection of the lyrics I suddenly realised the connotations –

"But I know what I am and I’m glad I’m a man, And so is Lola"

(I'm female!).

MMMMmmm….must have a think about changing it.

Biker Pat, I think you deserve an award for being the most enthusiastic board member and trying to encourage interaction on the board!

On Usernames,

Someone in school ( David's,Artane ) used to call me Rolo and I met him for the first time in about 10 years around the time I joined the site. Just revived memories of my Grove years 1979 - 1986.

On areas , originally Artane , now Killester. ( Very adventurous you see.)

Anyway, looking forward to Sunday Night. Missed the last two through no fault of my own.

My name was made up in haste coz I was in work (like now) and not supposed to be on the net, but to be super busy and efficient (like never).  Don't really like it but it was what I came up with under pressure.

It reminds me of a time I was in Memphis with my Bro and a pal and we were heading back to out hotel and still negro guy stops us on the corner and ask us where we wuz goin?

He looked like Huggy in Starsky & Hutch and was just kinda funny.

So he asks where we're from and when we told him Ireland he asks us to speak some Irish.

Then he asks what his name in Irish is. I can't remember his real name but we told him his name was "Amadan". Insert fada over last A.

He thinks this is great and asks how to say "I am Amadan".

So we told him, "Ta me amadan". Again insert fada's.

Off he goes as happy as larry shouting "Ta Me Amadan"
