I was going to post this in the "Rant" thread but not appropriate as I see a sadness there.

Just following up on this debate re women working harder etc...

Well here's a thought, and please don't be offended by it's content and message, both guys and girls.

When I was in a certain company and in a mid-management job the boss thought himself as a cock.

So he'd ask us other cocks to be present after work on Friday nights in a certain club.

The idea of this was to meet all the Roosters at the top so we could learn to crow like them.

Well this cock(me) went for one week and after that decided I wanted to be among the hens, who were excluded in the main from the rooster/cock gathering.

Good judgement. More interesting conversation etc. and I was not pecked at all.

Message here :

Girls, don't try to be a cock. You're a hen and without you, roosters and cocks would never crow.

Go make your own sound and be heard in the morning like the roosters do

Get the message

May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Got the message Pat but why would you think we would want to be like the cocks or the roosters??? We hens, for the main, are very happy to be hens.

Great judgement Pat, it means you are grounded and look at things from the real world rather than aspiring to false hope of enlightenment via bravado.

Pat,

Love your thread - you are a very wise young man - a very very wise young man.  Great to see you are not one of the "follow the sheep" brigade, well done.

Kevins Myers article was good Joey but would not hold a candle to Pats  -  his thread IS CLASS.  He feels what he says - that is the difference and gets the point through so v. well.

Agreed GW but alas in that particular organisation a lot of the hens wanted to be otherwise as they perceived that by being otherwise they would get a higher loft in the henhouse

I'm a firm believer in balance

Why do we call nature, "Mother Nature"?

If any of you read "The DeVinci Code" there was an interesting part where it talked about the imbalance in nature, as nature is generally looked at as feminine, because women by nature have maternal instincts which are caring, more understanding and patient.

But look at the world today.

It's totally out of balance and in my humble opinion, we need more women in leadership roles in the world.

Bush, Mugabe, Saddam, Idi Amin, Hitler, Nixon, ...........

All war mongerers ....

I can't think of a single female leader who were like any of the above.

Just my opinion.

It's not about being less masculine, I'm a much a man as any other guy. It's about understanding how nature works and why we need more balance in the "new world order".

Iam back again??,All war mongers,,,,Margaret Tatcher was a leader too???????,the way i see it there is good and bad  on both sides,,woman are from venus and men are from mars and we both go around this world together, sometimes we carry each other, thats my opinion,,,I don,t think you are less masculine Pat,but i like the fact woman and men are different, and i would have it no other way,,otherwise it would be a dull world, respect man.
