Just sitting here in California after reading about Gerry Ryan's death. I always
enjoyed his yarns about his time at the Grove. I feel so sorry for his family.
May he rest in peace. XXX

I always liked his radio show, but I haven`t heard him since I moved to Denmark. His cousin is married to my youngest brother, so I would imagine that she is pretty upset at the moment.

My wife and her family visited Gerry Ryan's father on Clontarf Road. He was
the local dentist and died in 2001.

Dad was our family's dentist and was a lovely man. (Lived and practiced opposite Clontarf Baths)

Heard Sean Haughey reminiscing about his youth and time with Gerry Ryan. How they were into bikes and GR visited their home in Kinsealy. Seemingly, GR was involved in the St Paul's school magazine, much to the chagrin of the priests. Do you remember that, Mel and Martin?

My friend Paul, in Paris, reminded me that we met Gerry Ryan at a Christmas night out in some club in Nassau Street back in the 80's.

He was with his own group and we were with our Aer Lingus crowd.

I had forgotten that but I do remember it now and we had a meeting of minds.

We all just got off on each others happiness that night.

Bless him, we were a mad lot that night and he responded accordingly.

Yes, it had a pic of all sport teams and all clases and write ups about the Bull Match, and plays and the Sing Out with Manor House.I was in it one year and we had to wear skyblue polar necks and grey pants

When we raided Manor House in our final year, it was used as ID to pick out certain (bold boys as the Nuns describe us ),including mise who went on the rampage.

Mind you we had help from some the girls who let us in the side door

AND WE WERE DULY EXPELLED AFTERWARDS

It had a glossy cover and was blue half way down.I bet there a few knocking around,It would be fun to get a few copies.I suppose if you contacted the School they might be able to give you a contact.I am nearly certain that there was a news story about the grove in it

Rdgs
