I was in the Sheds pub in Clontarf today,for the 1st time in a long time,and while paying a visit to the little boys room,I was admiring the graffiti on the wall,while nature was taking its course,and noted one comment that said"THE GROVE RULES !"
I cant 'go' anywhere,ha ha

It was The Barony and The Beachcomber that we hung out in but I totally agree with the sentiment 'The Grove rules'.

Think I'll go down there for a leak and add 'The Grove still rules'
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

The Sheds was our meeting place before The Grove..60's. But I don't remember writing anything.

They could at least have listed what the Grove RULES actually are!

GROVE RULES

No 1.  No drinking before or during the Grove (after Grove drinking permitted).

 The only memory I have of 'The Sheds' is being refused but the barman did give us a bottle of Stag  ( remember that! ) to  take away! It was duly consumed on the long walk back up to the Grove....

In my time the last song was often either 'Whiskey In The Jar' or 'Hi Ho Silver Lining'.

There were others but these spring to mind.
