I thought it would be fun to start a topic where we could share our dreams. I`ll start.
Last week I dreamt that I was in work (Kindergarden, for those who don`t know). In our kindergarden we breed rabbits, so we always have a good supply of cute bunnies for the kids to play with and take care of, therefore teaching them responsibility and we sell off the excess rabbits when we have too many. Now here`s where it gets weird. I was walking by the rabbit enclosure and all the kids are having a great time with the bunnies, when I notice a bunch of grown men sitting in the corner drinking beer. I go over to find out what the f**ks going on. It turns out to be all the members of Iron Maiden and the guitarist from Lindisfarne. Now, I`m a bit of a Lindisfarne fan, so I ask him would he play a song. He obliges and plays "Fog On The Tyne". I`m chuffed, Maiden are chuffed and the kids and the rabbits are too busy playing to notice. Then I woke up. |

I had a dream last night that they upped the cost of getting into the grove to $45.00. It was a stange setting and all my mates got in but I only had coins and food stamps so the guy on the door started counting out foodstamps in return for letting me in. By the time he counted them all the feckin grove was over lol. Don't ask I don't know where that came from

Robbie, We had a thread on this in 2008 and it ran for a while. I dragged it back up and you hopefully will find it interesting. Some good stuff. Pat |

Frank,
I'm always having dreams. Lately my parents feature a lot and I sometimes think I'm back at home in Celtic Park. Wonder if there's a significance to that? Pat |

Lol, must be these recent recountings of dreams, but last night - or more accurately I'd say this morning just before I woke up: I was at some kind of Grove reunion, but it was more like a work conference in a hotel, and seemed to go on fir about a week, with various meetings etc!!! I had brought records with me (vinyl), no idea what they were or whether they got played. Don't remember much of the dream, but then it was the last day and there was a crowd - no-one that I recognised but in the dream I knew lots of them - kinda sitting round in a hall. It was daytime. Some super bluesy kind of song was playing and a few couples started dancing. Then Cecil started to play this real kinda doom-metal song that I recognised in the dream as being a band called "Hill of Stink", lol
. {In real-life, a couple of days ago I was reading an interview with a guy from a death metal band called Testament, who were looking at touring Ireland with a couple of other bands of the same ilk, can't remember their names, but I know there is an American outfit called "Cradle of Filth" that I think play this kind of death metal stuff. Maybe that's what inspired the name of the band in my dream!} Anyway, I started thinking I better gather all my stuff together, records and all, to start heading home. I was leaving the hall to organise myself and then someone was saying "C'mon everyone, gather round and we'll get a few pictures of us all together", so I went back and got a couple of pictures taken with two other young guys, who were very excitable and kinda delighted with life!!! Then I wokeup! It's gas, it was all very disjointed in the dream, and now that I think of it there seemed to be a cloud of anxiety hanging over my mind the whole time in the dream not sure why. I guess looking at Pat's photos of the last reunion etc plus some of the chat about this pandemic all came together in my sleep... |
