Man it's hectic... have hardly been on lately and it's only going to get worse....(No internet access from inlaws, I'll be suffering technology withdrawal symptoms). So before I disappear off the planet for a while just wanted to wish you all a safe and Happy Christmas.

Here's my top tip for a happy one....Don't forget the batteries!

Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for Breakfast!

Hiya Esthalon,

I know what you mean about things being hectic - wine and cheese evening on Tuesday and Maiden gig last night - I need an early nite tonight I think!

Anyhoo, Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year to you too and all you Grovers out there!    Have a good one.

Well it's all over now.

Hope you all had a wonderful day.

Never saw so much wrapping paper torn and thrown about!!!

One of Rachel's pressies was a leapfrog plus writing thingy. However, the bloody elves that made it forgot to put the pencil insert into the box.  Going back to the shop today to pick one up. A very nice Irish lady on the phone said one was returned with a problem and it will now have two as she's taking the pencil insert out for me!!!

Got a new car stereo with mp3 compatability thingy. It even has a remote control!!!! How lazy is that. What it means for me is that now I can listen to all my grove cd's in the car without the hassle of the old one. (kept skipping songs etc)

Cooked beautiful roast lamb with all the trimmings in a Weber bbq. Highly recommended. Didn't go outside on Christmas day or boxing day -  39 degrees. Too bloody hot. Sat in air con home all day.  Watched telly all day. Brilliant. Stuffed my face with prawns on boxing day.

Trying to plan a trip back home in Sept/Oct. Hope to see you guys somewhere then.

Thanks for all the interesting posts. Keep it up.

Lesley

25th June - 25th July. Get organising my nights out. Child can stay in the car.

Many happy returns to all Grove website members and their families.

May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Happy New Year to all from me

My first new years resolution is to make it down
in person to the reunion as I'm feeling a bit like
a virtual soul here and when I saw the photos of
Mel, HD, CP,etc and other fine Grovers I felt
again the yearning to make it down to the next
Shieling bash or even a couple of pints in the
new year

Have a great 2007 everyone.

Happy New Year to all of you in Ireland and to those in other parts who have
already celebrated....six hours to go here in Cleveland.

First rule: first person who refers to the new year as '007 gets japslapped.

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And old lang syne?

For old lang syne, my dear,
For old lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For old lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For old lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For old lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For old lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes,
And pu'd the gowans fine;
But we've wandered mony a weary fit
Sin' old lang syne.

For old lang syne, my dear,
For old lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For old lang syne.

We twa hae paidled i' the burn,
Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' old lang syne.

For old lang syne, my dear,
For old lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For old lang syne.

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o' thine!
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught
For old lang syne.

For old lang syne, my dear,
For old lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For old lang syne.

Hey M, I'm Back!!!!! Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year esp those that were away from families and friends.

I had a great Christmas, (though prob ate too much to compensate for lack of drinking ) On the up side there's nothing like a toddler to make Christmas special, and our little fella provided all the entertainment .

Have to say though, I'm glad to back in internet land again and to get back to "Normal" eating again. Am looking 6 months pregnant never mind 4. (I blame my Mother-in-law and her great cooking!)

Now to try and get through all the posts I missed and check out the reunion photos!!!

Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for Breakfast!

Overdoing the NY festivities.

This guy was driving home pissed as a newt from hi NY party. Suddenly he had to swerve to avoid a tree, then just as suddenly he had to swerver again toa void another tree. this went on for a few kilometres. A Garda pulled him over when he was spotted swevring all over teh road. Yer man tells the Gard about all the trees in the middle of the road. "you fool" says the Gard, " that's your air freshener you're trying to avoid"

Life is for living
