Hi Suzanne,

Didn't hear about that. Suppose we would just have the reunions somewhere else.

Cool

Didn't hear re Sheiling being knocked down.

We'll find another location.
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

Yes, I've heard that about the Sheiling. Seems to be true. The Sheiling used to be known as the Old Sheiling, and, before that, it was known as The Foxhall. A piece of trivia for ya.
It was a golden era.

The renunion picnics sound good. I can imagine a nice summer's day in St. Anne's sitting under the shade of a chestnut tree. Let us stay well clear for some peace of mind from where the minority anti-social crew hang about.

Thought we were the minority anti-social crew. Guess we're too old for that sort of stuff now. hehe

Though a teacher, I am no matematician! I have being trying to work out your intriguing mathematical proposition about it being "twice as cold".

Let's begin (sounds familiar!).

+2 x 2 = +4

+1 x 2 = +2

0 x 2 = 0

-1 x 2 = -2

-2 x 2 = -4

Well, Mammy, I have to conclude, reluctantly, that the temperature outside remains the same! Am I right or wrong!?

Maybe you, or some other mathematically-minded contributors, might enlighten me.

It is only a rumour, but teachers do not know everything!

It was a golden era.
