Thanks Pat. We love doing the show, the grove was very good to us all and for me it feels like we are giving something back. The songs you and Derek picked were simply superb. Cecils range was breathtaking and that just the first 8 years. I've known all the later stuff comes from the earlier influence - blues, soul, motown, folk and then rock. I feel Cecil is still educating us all and continuing the lifelong gift of good music.

Agree with all the sentiments above folks - I think I forgot, Brian, to comment on something that really struck me last night: your professionalism and empathetic dealing of topics that must be tricky for any presenter - the situation with Cecil, also the sad death of your friend (?). Well done to you and Jen

Thanks Gerry. Yes, one of my friends Dads passed away during the week and it was a very hard situation. His wife has dementia and didnt make the funeral and they also lost their daughter aged 38 about 8 years ago to breast cancer. Conor, his son is one of my oldest friends. Thanks for the kind words.

My sincere condolences on those sad losses.

I also echo Gerry's excellent sentiments.

You're a natural on the radio.
