"Prairie Wind" by Neil Young
One of my favourite Neil Young, beautiful songs with amazing lyrical imagery. Now I have my music collection over from Ireland, just over 100 cd's. I can start playing them again. When I think of all the vinyl albums and singles I used to have, 250+, it was a shame I had to sell them However needs must. |

I went through all of my albums a while back and copied my favourite tracks onto my iPod. It's not a great thing to do because you never go back and listen to the actual albums again. On the good side, I did it just before my wife decided to clean up my entire music collection and put it out in the rain. The boxes were stacked in the back garden for about a month before I saw them.

Excellent stuff Pat, rock on π€
Right now it's just ten to twelve (midday) here on Christmas Eve, so things are more sedate! It's calm out, quite mild, watery bit of sun. Actually a lovely day compared to some of what we've had to date. We will update as we go through the day ! π |

Meant to say there, was Michael Schenker a member of UFO as well, or was it just Scorpions? π€

You're right Gerry re Schenkner.
Not sure the same person. Mel is the go to man re UFO. There's a track on the UFO album called "Out in the Street" that is an absolute classic rocker. Edited by Biker Pat - 24-December-2019 at 12:35 |

Jeez, you know I can't remember if Schenker was in UFO - I don't believe so. Think he left UFO and formed MSG (Michael Schenker Group). A few UFO numbers were played at the Grove in my time there - Only you can rock me and the classic Doctor Doctor off the brill live album strangers in the night.

Michael Schenker was in the Scorpions
He left them to play with UFO. He then left UFO and returned to the Scorpions and did other things as mentioned by Mel. |

Jaysus, all mixed up with him to be honest... I used to be a big fan of the scorpions back in the day - had about 7-8 of their albums (and had the scorpions logo on the back of my denim jacket) but sold many of their albums to buy other albums in the mid 80s and never really went back to them. Not sure why I stopped listening to them regularly.

Thanks lads. I had the MSG album back in the day, but never any Scorpions or UFO stuff, can't think why not really. Few tracks you lads mentioned above, I will give them all a go later this evening. Half snoozing on the couch at the mo while Annette is doing important stuff in the kitchen! Have resisted the lure of booze so far today (the sun not yet over the yardarm anyway !!!)
