Poguey, only catching up now with your O'Connells/ciarans etc story..
...to be honest, when I was 14/15 I had no idea what I liked, didn't like, what I wanted to do or not do - so followed the crowd - which was Sully, my mate at the time... So I followed his lead ... which, to be fair, led down a musical track which I never regretted....

Had the honour and joy to meet this lovely lady, Philomena Lynott. A the launch of "My Boy" in Dublin. She took a lot of time out to chat. Signed the Hot Press magazine that was devoted to Phil and the book, which I will treasure forever. RIP Philomena, I will never forget your kindness that day.  |

Here's a strange thing Frank. My wife just got her passport photo renewed and had to go back to get another shot because her ears were not showing in the photo. Is that just an American rule?
Your ears must be on the back of your head...if they were auditioning for an actor to play Prince Charles you might want to save your bus fare..

After checking the US Passport rules and not finding a mention of showing ears I asked the missus. My wife was actually renewing her Irish passport. The rule now is that hair must be brushed back to show the ears...and here I was thinking only the Yanks are nuts.
