Just wondwering what folks think of Macca's situation in relation to Ms Mills.

Personally I feel sorry for the guy.

I think her motives from the start were questionable and he's going to pay for it now.

"When I'm 64" certainly came back to haunt him.

I would definitely say her intentions were suss...

She never has been exactly black and white over the years....strange girl...brave and strong yes but regarding Maaca...SUSS.

A little ditty to recount:

Remember once she appeared with an economy ticket flying to Kuala Lumpar to promote her book ( pre Macca days), at our First Class area in LHR ( Malaysian Airlines). We did the decent thing and upgraded her because of her disability needing more space etc etc. She even showed us her bag of limbs for doing this and that...really...

Anyhows, we didn´t have to and we did..even more annoying was we noticed her ticket was a Virgin Atlantic freebie whom we codeshared with...blah..blah...Point being..

Do ye think she gave any of us a signed book or a free book even though she shoved one under our noses and had a bag full of them at checking in ??????

Naw, not a one.

Didn´t think much of her after dat....

*Brings out the soapbox again...plants it firmly on the floor*

Well my take on this is that yes..she is most probably a gold digger by nature..from what I have read about her..before all the current palaver...she comes across to me as a manipulative sociopath...BUT..

Even though I'm a Beatles fan of long-standing...I find it hard to have any sympathy for Paul...right from the start friends and family..his own daughters even..were warning him about Heather and her dubious history..but he chose to let his vanity get the better of him. In my opinion he has made a total fool of himself the last few years since Linda's death..trying to act and look like a teenager ..wearing clothes that looked ridiculous on him..dyeing his hair and basically trying to produce this ready made replacement for Linda.

The guy should have taken stock of things better and taken off the rose tinted specs. But of course the problem with Paul has always been that he surrounds himself with yes people..he has always done this..and it is why despite being an extremely talented writer who has written or co-written some of the greatest songs in popular music history he has also produced some of the worst drivel ever to make it onto vinyl over the years...

He is still capable of writing wonderful pop songs but the problem always was that he needs someone like a John figure to tell him when what he is doing is crap.

And I believe this was the situation with Heather. He probably wrote off his families objections as understandable antagonism towards anyone who tried to replace Linda....and everybody else around him just nodded and agreed that she was wonderful.

When Bluebell and I saw him in the RDS a year or so ago he sang a (frankly awful) ode to Heather and mentioned her at every possible occasion. Now I've read that the video of his latest tour that has been released has had all mention of her removed from the final cut.

My view is..bit late Paul...maybe a little harsh...but I find it hard to sympathise with him.

Whether or not she will take him to the cleaners remains to be seen. Macca's business acumen is rarely ever at fault and I think that Heather will find herself up against a formidable adversary if she tries to push her luck too far.

In the end...he's bound to get at least a couple of good songs out of this whole thing. I'm personally looking forward to some hard hitting edgy bitter songs from Macca for a change.

Like they say...every cloud has a silver lining!!

Well,

My whole view on Marital stuff like this is "if you are not in the relationship you don't know what's REALLY the true story". So as i'm not in it, i am reserving judgement. Lets see what the courts make out of it.

Have to say would lean towards HD on this. couldnt believe how  quickly Paul seemed to move on after Linda. Couldnt understand it myself she was the love of his life for so long.

Speaking of which was shocked to see Darren clarke with his new girlfriend splashed all over front of papers today.

God far be it from me to begrudge the man some happiness but less then four months after his wife died !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant be right in my book

Yeah, I can't believe that Darren Clarke either, that's too soon.

My mate's mam died and 6 months after that his dad remarried...Now that's fast.. cant help thinking there was something there before...

Ahhh on the fence about that! My Grandad was married before he met my Grandma - His 1st wife was sick and died but before she did she asked him to marry her best friend - my Grandma.  They did and went on to have 10 kids!!!

It's all just so temporary!

I hope she gets nothing from him.

She's an evil manipulator. She only married him for the money. I think he was a lonely old eejit who hooked up with her without realising the consequences. Even her own family don't like her.

My parents friend met this woman about 6 months after his wife died. While they were 'engaged' he called it off. She sued him for changing his mind and he backed down.

He invested most of his money in a b+b venture of hers in Galway.

As you can guess, she dumped him before the wedding took place, and the business is in her name only. He left his kids without anything and they lost their home.

He tried to return to stay with them and they told him to feck off. How stupid older man can be.

Wow...rough going,L. I can see where your coming from with your post.

Honestly,I don't know enough (or didn't read any of Lynn's Hello or OK mags) to form an opinion on her but it does seem from the outside in she completely used him. What was the story about her throwing the engagement ring away or something?

Agree with HD,though-I was aware he was warned off by friends etc but dived straight in...but then again...maybe he couldn't see the wood for all the trees...(oh God,terrible pun...)
