Shameless boasting here but I'm quoting my post from 2007, and I'm pleased to say that I have (at long last) succeeded in converting all of my 7" singles into "picture sleeve" versions, admittedly almost 6 years after the original post.  I must also admit that after years of additional suggestions re Grove songs from 1979-1986 (and several years beyond 1986, since I did go occasionally in the later 80s years), the original list has grown significantly and the (enlarged) boxes are almost stuffed to breaking point.  I was going to update the song list with all the additional records I have bought but I'd be here for days.SmileSmileSmile

"La Grange" by ZZ Top being played by Pat James on nova
right now. Great to hear that on the radio again (that's
about twice now!). Otherwise, it was down the Grove.

Tony (Tonto) will I'm sure post this himself somewhere, but as he is a keen model railway enthusiast, was setting up the venue for the exhibition this year, which happens to be...in St. Pauls!

As he was setting up the PA on the stage,he soundtested it with The Stones and Metallica! Blasting out Grove songs on Cecils stage at the Grove! He said it felt brilliant!

He'll tell you more himself somewhere here or FB.

More than a feeling!

There are three kinds of people in the world, those who are able to count, and those who can't...

I dont think so Frank - not when I was going anyway - perhaps "Fairytale of New York" (1987) at the Christmas Groves but I dont remember the Pogues from the Grove at all.  Anyone else?

Never really paid much attention to other music except metal/rock & slowies! Listening to it now on youtube, doesn't ring a bell I'm afraid Jen. You know when you hear a song, even years later & you go yeah that's a Grove song?
