I know the feeling, I have a 12 year old fan at home too. She's discovered Will Ferrell is in more than just Elf....

Mary - It's on Pretzel Logic - the only Steely Dan album I have. Got it after hearing a band called the BT's playing the title track. (the lead singer was Joe Savino) Edited by RoundaboutToo! |

Thanks Ciaran, Don't have it either - must add it onto the list of things to get. Impressive list, Aries. Do you know why Jeff Baxter had the knickname skunk ? and I didn't know that Ernie Watts every played with them - I heard he played with the Stones on one tour in the 80's I think.

And while I´m at it, did you know that the very first drummer in Steely Dan was non other than Chevy Chase. The band was called "The Leather Canary" at the time and changed their name to Steely Dan when Chevy Chase left. The rest is history, as they say.

I saw that too Mary. Forgotten all about it until you mentioned it. Wasn't he also in the video for "You can call me Al"? |

Not bad-hope you're still rockin'... There's loads of others you'll know in here. Think the last time I saw you was in the bike shop I used to work in and you were browsing (wow-that wasn't yesterday or the day before...) |

Can anyone remember if Journey was ever played at the Grove? Had considered requesting Don't Stop Believin' on Sunday cos I've never had a chance to have a good head bang to that and it's ripe for a good ole Figure of 8 But didn't as I wasn't sure it was ever a Grove number. Love that Journey are having a resurrection these days. Great to hear their stuff getting airplay again. |
