Just heard through the grapevine that there is to be a Meet Up very soon. do you have to be a long standing member of this forum to attend. heard it was to be in a pub in dublin after the aftermath of the random stabbings on temple bar, fleet street, westmoreland st last evening think wise and well. i unforuntately have seen a vast increase in these random attacks - be careful - if you are having it outside of the city i will be there if someone posts it up. Ben

Yo Ben, The plan is that there is a get-together in the "Long Stone" on Townsend Street on 26th April and another get-together in Smyths of Malahide on 10th May. Hope to see ya!

Hey Ben,
No you don't have to be a long standing member to show up. I was showing up at reunions for a year and a half before i signed up to the forum. The Long Stone is on Townsend Street, which is fairly safe Ben, as it's right across the street from Pearse St Garda station. However if you're in town and decide to come around but are a little worried. Come in from the Tara St end rather than the College Green side, as there's always hobo's and junkies outside the screen. They never really bother anyone except ask for change occasionally, but that's as far as it goes. Used to walk past there every day coming back from work. One more thing, a lot of the stuff happening in Dublin aren't "random", they're gang attacks. I've nothing to worry about as i'm not part of a gang :D me. |

Shaun, Have to disagree about not being random - As I posted on another tread, my daughter (18) was pushed down the stairs of a bus by two guys out of their heads. she tore ligaments in her ankle and the only help she got was the bus driver telling her to hurry up and get off the bus. Everyone else laughed. She was on her way back to college at 3 oclock on a Saturday afternoon. I think that classifies as Random!!!! |
