"Redemption".

Another excellent movie.

Reeling from a traumatic tour of duty in Afghanistan, Joey, a former special forces soldier, returns to London to face another kind of war: life on the streets as a damaged, homeless veteran. In an attempt to rehabilitate himself, Joey assumes another man's identity and seeks the aid of Sister Cristina, a young nun who works at an inner-city parish.
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.

"The Zookeepers Wife"

Excellent movie.

The time is 1939 and the place is Poland, homeland of Antonina Zabinski and her husband, Dr. Jan Zabinski. The Warsaw Zoo flourishes under Jan's stewardship and Antonina's care. When their country is invaded by the Nazis, Jan and Antonina are forced to report to the Reich's newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck. The Zabinskis covertly begin working with the Resistance and put into action plans to save the lives of hundreds from what has become the Warsaw Ghetto.

I'm watching a tv show on Virgin media called The Vanishing Triangle. It's a drama based in Ireland, and is loosely based on real missing persons cases. It's 3 episodes in,and really good so far.

" Get Out"

Great suspenseful movie.

Now that Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with her parents, Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries leads him to a truth that he never could have imagined.

Glad you did Sean.

"SISU"

Worth a watch.

Sisu is unadulterated, grindhouse fun, and I for one hope we see more films like it very soon. Sisu offers a 91-minute massacre with deftly captured shots and wonderfully skilled action pieces, delivering heaps of blood-drenched fun.

"The International".

Interesting movie about the money trail to arms shipments to the Middle East and Africa.

Interpol agent Louis Salinger (Clive Owen) joins forces with New York prosecutor Eleanor Whitman (Naomi Watts) to put an end to a powerful bank's funding of terrorism. As they follow the money from Germany to Italy to New York to Turkey, Salinger and Whitman find their own lives are at risk from those who will stop at nothing to protect their interests.

"13 Hours"

On September 11, 2012, Ansar al-Sharia militants attacked a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was killed during the attack when the militants set fire to the compound.

Decent enough action movie based on true facts.

I must be one of the few people who never watched a James Bond film.

Now Diana Rigg is another matter.

Never missed The Avengers on the telly during the 60's.

She was a real crush of mine as a young teenager.

Looked at "On her majesty's secret service" - James Bond, with George Lazenby's only appearance as Bond, last night. Saw it when.it came out first in 1969 I think. Entertaining enough, but too long. And some of the choppy jumping from scene to scene was, eh, abrupt, to say the least. Diana Rigg was her usual magnificent, gorgeous self as the female lead...

"To Kill A Tiger"

An emotional movie/documentary based on true facts.

Set in India where statistics show a woman is raped every 20 minutes.

When his teen daughter survives a harrowing multiple rape, a humble farmer embarks on a remarkable pursuit of justice, defying deep intolerance in their village who turn on the family and threaten them with all kinds of deeds. It shows up a deep culture of blaming the female if she is raped.

"Bhaksak"

Brilliant movie.

Set in India.

Harrowing story of child abuse being covered up and exposed by a very brave female journalist.

A struggling local journalist begins a dogged investigation into harrowing cases of abuse being covered up at a shelter for young girls.

"Cry Macho"

A 2021 movie starring the legendary Clint Eastwood.

Charming movie.

A onetime rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder, in 1978, takes a job from an ex-boss to bring the man's young son home and away from his alcoholic mum. Crossing rural Mexico on their back way to Texas, the unlikely pair faces an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman may find his own sense of redemption through teaching the boy what it means to be a good man.

"Ambulance"

If you like fast action movies then this is for you.

Needing money to cover his wife's medical bills, a decorated veteran teams up with his adoptive brother to steal $32 million from a Los Angeles bank. However, when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate thieves hijack an ambulance that's carrying a severely wounded cop and an EMT worker. Caught in a high-speed chase, the two siblings must figure out a way to outrun the law while keeping their hostages alive.

"Will"

Two young police officers find themselves torn between collaboration and resistance as they navigate the Nazi-occupied Antwerp during World War II's darkest days.

This film won a lot of awards.

True to life film with some violent and shocking scenes.

" Elena Knows"

This was on my Netflix list for quite a while because I wasn't sure it would be any good.

Turns out it's an excellent emotional and moving film.

As her Parkinson's disease progresses, a woman leads a relentless investigation into finding those responsible for the sudden death of her daughter.
