Hey xgrovehead,

Reckon LOTR only counts as one.

Were you a fan of the book going to see the movies having already decided that the movies could, under no circumstances possibly do it justice and were then gobsmacked ?  or... did you go along with no preconceived notions and enjoy them as just great adventure movies ?

Rolo.

5 that come to mind immediately are

Alien and Aliens.

Grosse Pointe Blank

Magnolia

Peter Jacksons TLOTR Trilogy

Which is actually 7 but there you go, sums were never my strong point.

What's your 5 favourite movies. Like me there's a lot more than 5 but lets keep it to 5.

Mine are

Easy Rider

The Quiet Man

Schlindler's List

Dances With Wolves

Bonnie and Clyde (1967 version with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway)

May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I'm enjoying the ride.
