How much was it in ???? what was the price range ??? Was it cheaper for members than non members ?? Did they charge also for the Reefers/Combat or Denim Jackas ( with arms reefed off ), Afghans,Ponchos,Trench coats or Aran jumpers that got knicked ( still bitter about mine !! ).....IF u dared take these sacred items of clothing off. I am stumped...I think I paid 1 quid in and that was the 1984 - 1987 era.... could have been less or more.... no recollection whatsoever....

Back in '72 it was only 10p or something like that. This was a time when petrol was 30p a gallon, a pint was 18p. A pound went a long way. Miss those times and prices ![]() |

I'm a newbie so, hello. I paid £2 on Sat and in summer you got a concession for Sunday night so, it was only a quid in. That was only in 86 though. I think they stopped the Sunday nights ones after that. Still have two concession tickets at home. Is that bit sad???? |

I vaguely remember paying 50p when I started going down at first, and it increasing to around £1 but memory is a bit hazy about that part of the Grove. My cousin worked on occasion as a bouncer at the door and when I was lucky I got in free - woohoo!!

I can remember paying 2 pound in on a Saturday night....the most expencive part of the night for me and my friends was the journey there and back. 1 pound 20pence on two buses and about 7/8 pound for taxi back home.....wonder how much it would cost today ?

I think I only paid into the Grove about 5 times in total - it was roughly 2 pound (I cant find the pound sign on my computer - thats if it still exists !!!!!!!!!) - My older sister paid 1. then it went up to 2.00 that would have been 1980 r so !! Anyone know how much it is into a Night Club now - whatever they are - I never get to go to one !!!!!!!!!!! Kids are such a joy and an expense !!!!!!
