Thanks to all the kind people who have pledged their support. I won't name them for fear of embarassing them (a_smil17). I have a pledge from Perth and good luck wishes from both sides of the Atlantic. So dig deep and sacrifice a little to help a lot. I will PM you my details.

We don't live too far away from the Phoenix Park.

BB, Rolo and Star, I can't get the reply to PM working. Postal Orders are no problem. I don't think it's safe to send cash in the mail. I'll try to send my address tomorrow.

Here's a link to the event which takes place in the Phoenix Park on 6 April. I think it starts around midday and it will take me about an hour.

Thanks for all your support so far.bigok

Just a suggestion:  As Brian is doing all the hard work ie running does anyone work in any large organisations that would like to support him ?????

If so PLEASE ASK over the next few days - great causes - every single cent counts and sure with Lent with us - there is no excuse - dig deep.

Remember you are supporting Brian who is making this great effort for Irish Guide Dogs for The Blind & Maryis Priest friend enduring daily hardship.  Heres hoping Mullers PM box is full within the next few days.

Right I'm thinking here that on Sunday 6th April.....if it's not too cold, we could all meet up down in the Phoenix Park and cheer Brian on......maybe even a spot of cheerleading the grove way.....as Brian runs by us , we could all headbang !!!! ....well it would be different...wouldn't it? What ya all think ????

I can't let V keep this thread alive on her own. I have received many pledges and some money so far. I won’t embarrass anyone by mentioned their names but a big thanks you to three special ladies - ????bigok

keep it coming. My sister sponsored me per kilometre thinking that I would give up after a short while. When I told her I'm doing 10k's each Sunday her jaw dropped but she didn’t renege

My two chosen charities are:

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind - cheques made payable to same; and

The Aids hospice in Kenya - cheques made payable to Fr Murtagh

I can't reply to PM on this PC. Need more memory, I think.

Despite Maryi's entreaties I'm not wearing a kilt, not matter what the cause. I'm not even baring my legs, no fake tan for these pale pins. Tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt.

Unfortunately not. I don't have one (hint)

Did my 10k run this morning in the howling wind. Not me, the weather! You would think that the wind would be with half the time and against you the other half when you do a circuit. It doesn't work like that. The wind seemed to be against me 75% of the time. It was toturous but I did it.

Have about €300 for Fr. Murtagh and €250 for the Guide Dogs
