Pole dancing perhaps?

I like sleeping too, but probably wouldn't have listed it as a hobby before I became a parent and it became a scarce commodity.  Funny isn't it?

I wouldn't describe them as interesting as in unusual but they interest me.

Travelling (potentially expensive, time consuming and difficult with an infant, currently on hold)

Reading (Anything from Booker nominees to Heat magazine to bus timetables)

Horse Riding (I had to give this up due to TLF, otherwise I'd be looking for a job in a certain jump jockey school)

Hill walking (this has been on hold for a while due to...... is a pattern developing here?)

And talking sh*te on web forums.

Hey X,

Where's the Hurling in there ?

Mine,if anyone's interested,

Supporting the Dubs. Can be bad for the health but on some occasions can be most rewarding.

Penning parodies 'bout me mates ( both real and cyber.)

Visiting foreign cities, particularly those in Eastern Europe, with groups of Green clad soccer supporters, singing " There's only one Keano "

Bit of golf here and there, though like Xgh,my small fella's getting in the way of that as it golf tends to clash with his fledgling GAA career.

Then the general stuff,The Sopranos, walking with headphones filled with live music,Tom Humphries' Locker Room column in Monday's Irish Times and of course chatting to you lot.

Oh yeah, sorry Xgh,you're too tall to be a jockey.

Rolo.

I love soccer, especially Man U.

Loving groving on this website.

Enjoy travelling especially to the sunj and especially Thailand.

Also enjoy casual walks on the beach, on Howth summit and in castle parks like Ard Gillan.

Oh, and in summer drining wine in the back garden and in winter drinking wine either listening to music or watching TV

As John Lennon said, "Whatever get's you through the night, is all right, is all right"

Same goes for life.

By the way the 27th anniversity of his death comes up on the 8th of the month.

Tragic, wonder what he'd be producing now?

Hobbies....I've given up playing guitar as a bad job but here's my other hobbies:

Reading - I love to read. I spend a lot of time with my nose in a book.

Internet - I'm not sure if this is a hobby or an addiction but yeah, I love to surf and chat.

Music - Enough said. I'm on the Grove forum aren't I?

Beadwork - ok, this is currently on hold until Ciara is a little bit older and I can leave my stuff around safely but I like to make pretty things with beads and had a regular stall at the Rush craft fair up until a couple of years back. Hoping to get into it soon.

Record collecting - this usually consists of chasing down most of the Mission's back catalogue but I love the thrill of finding a rarity on ebay and bidding for it.

Creative writing - I write erotic fiction...but that's a whole other forum. ;)

Record Collecting- Haven't done it in a while but I have collected some good records over the years

Internet/Surfing agree with Jen it isn't a hobby more of an addiction....

Now that's post of the week!

Hmmm my hobbies...

  • Gardening
  • Reading Fantasy (Of the Tolkien variety)
  • Food (Love to eat out)
  • Red Wine (Love to drink anywhere)
  • Learning Guitar (really crap at finding time to practice)
  • Travelling (On hold due to kids)
  • Role Playing (I haven't in ages but used to love this)

Nothing near as exciting I'm afraid as Jen's erotic writing, T's pole dancing or CP's writhing!

Sport, Sport, sport and more Sport.

Fascinated by current affairs and politics. think it was growing up in the Charlie years. I have a book with the breakdown by constitunecy of the votes from election beforre last, must get the same for the alst one.

Love reading - anything to do with sport and politics()

I like getting out in the open air - have started again when I get a chance. Small things like walking to the shop, or trying to beat the kids out the door at some stage each weekend. I hadn't realised how much time I was spending in the car particularly until a while back. The walk along the sea front in a brisk breeze shakes every bit of tiredness from me. Better than any caffeine overdose.

Socialising / Pub - love the funand banter of meeting up with a large group and just taking time out. Mmmmmmm, pints.

Not a huge music fan funnily enough but this site has resurrected that somewhat. Much to my wife's delight - I could feel her cringe in the passenger seat last Friday as the kids asked for Master of Puppets

  • Reading - true stories mostly with the occasional humourous escape novel thrown in
  • Cooking - love cooking and learning about foods from other countries
  • Growing herbs - again related to cooking
  • Traveling to other countries
  • Documentaries on other cultures
  • Entertaining -Having friends over for dinner and drinks
  • Good conversations about the meaning of life and all that sh*te over a good bottle of red wine.
  • Chatting online - have been doing that for 12 years!
  • Walking - anywhere really except in rain.
  • Old hobbies currently on hold due to lack of time
    • Sewing - patchwork, embroidery, cross stitch
    • Playing guitar
    • Knitting
    • Painting

Stamp collecting and flower pressing....

NO!!!!

Music of course...especially Classic Rock. Listening to it,reading about it (love getting Uncut,Q or Classic Rock every month),watching it and learning (still) about my favourite bands and their exploits.

Playing it...played in several bands since my teens but life I suppose got in the way which is why I'm not in Classic Rock,Q or Uncut...

Love model making of the marine variety. Finishd a four foot long Titanic some time ago and am on the HMS Victory now...

Love Irish history. Love this country of ours...love to travel it. Love picking a county and spending a weekend there and discovering it's heritage and history.

And I love Christmas...I'm the biggest kid in our house...

Listening to music, fishing, dirt bike riding, 4x4 driving (when the thing is going), hopefully playing the bass guitar soon (when I get time) and reading. With 3 kids, a wife that works and the job I have I don't really get time to do many of the above.

I have been lucky that my big interest, homeopathy, became my career - never stop learning and I love that.

Gardening - bane and joy!

Leadlight making which I learned in Australia and got back into again in the last couple of years.

Reading, cooking (but not dinner every night more things I haven't cooked before)

Housework - ah no that was just a joke!

I get a great kick out of learning to do something new or being able to fix something. Have a power drill and will use it!

Lots of interests, but my hobbies would be bascially music and soccer. Both extreme passions and both still the only things that make me cry ! Have never got tired of either and hope I never do. Lucky to be married to an equally passionate footie fan. We follow different teams, but respect the others views. And when my team loses, I can revert back to music - it never lets me down ! My wife does not share my musical tastes for the most part and calls me a muscial snob. Thats fine by me !

Finno,

Not a clean out, rather an update so any new folks might see that there's more threads than "active topics".

Today I set all threads to "All" to see what I'd get and voila

This site started out at a certain point and we were all newcomers at one stage.

Anyway, I hope it may spark a few more posts.

And I hope a lot more photos to compliment your wonderful collection.
