How's it going...
I was down in my Mams the other night & found a photo of me in the Grove when I was 14 or 15....Scarlet... I was thinking of putting it up in the photo section, what do ya's reckon... |

The guy I was with had a cool picture of Robert Smith painted on the back of his leather jacket... How cool we were! Ah come on now - someone else has to put up a pic now that I look like a complete fool! |

Ah you are onlY a wee thing compared to some of the Golden Oldies here.. Even I am considered young here compared to some of the Dinosaurs here.. All seriousness I was surprised at the Grove reunions what put me off goging ORIGINALLY i THOUIGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE A VERY YOUNG CROWD At it but I found there was a lot older age group there than me and they were all rocking and headbanging and it was great.. Doc about work no I do very little here I am on the IT helpdesk that get few calls. Hi everyone, I'm a newie here too (that documentry has a lot to answer for) would like to say a big HI to Mel (I spent many a day/evening in your's and JC's house's when only a youngster grovite in 84/85) Had to fight John off many a time.. ah no.. seriously lovely guy. He went out with two of my best friends older sisters, Cathy McCormack and Ann Doyle and became attached to me for a while..(think it was because I kept sl*ggin him off) How is he by the way, last I heard he was in the UK?? - actually met you Mel at my daughter (and your daughters) christening in Malahide - I have lots of photo's that I have from those days will have to scan them and post them. All from the back alcove (yes I was a definite hippy/ head banger) really miss those days, the innocence (or lack of it even) we had'nt a clue and it was a great buzz - could not wait for Saturday nights (on the rare occasion though I have to admit to going to the Oasis) and Friday's was Joeys night - had loads of friends from there too. wonder where they all are now!! ------------- C'est le vie, you only live once |

Hey Sandra, I do indeed remember you from the Grove and more recently at the Christening in Malahide! Nice to see another one of my old friends from the Grove days logging in here....would be great to see your photos from the 80s on the site. Re John, as far as I know he is still living in the UK but I'm not sure exactly. Have lost touch with him over the years, sadly. Are you coming to the reunion? Mel.

Ah.. very sweet, (always good to say nice things about the other half) My hubbie is from Templeogue, never heard of the Grove until he met me years later but was the person who told me about the website (I never thought about even searching the web on this before) You were obviously around a few years before me I only knew the Grove at St Pauls... but not much changes, bet if you took photo's of the rocker/metal lads these days you would'nt know the difference (well apart from the quality of the pic, progress eh??) ------------- C'est le vie, you only live once |

Sandra, Absolutely going to the reunion alright - there's a thread started by H.D. in the Grove Tribute Nights forum asking who's defo going to the Halloween get-together.
