God, until last night I'd forgotten how much I love this song!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuWE69U_B6I - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuWE69U_B6I

While we are on the topic of AOR 70s rock, does anyone remember Cecil playing CCR?  I went between 91 ish & 94 ish and don't remember hearing them back then.

There's a reason I want to be Jeff Lebowski but I can't remember if it started at the Grove.

Hiya Mark and welcome to the madhouse.

As for CCR, you gotta ask Biker Pat about that. He's the resident John Fogerty expert around here.

"More than a feeling" - what a great track Mark.  Have ordered the 7" single of it online (already have it on album) for my singles collection...

Jaysus, a CCR fan.

Just check my avatar. It's a picture of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

My favourite band of all time and have all Fogerty's solo work as well.

Actually went to see Fogerty in Paris recently.

Cecil certainly played CCR back in my day '72-'75. He had to. I plauged him.

He also played "Down On The Corner" at the last reunion.

Cheers fellow CCR fan

Thanks for the suggestions.

One of my problems is my deck is bust but have not been able to part from my vinyls. Although over time I have bought alot of the albums on cd, thery are not the same. (its funny listening to old compilations I have done over the years - the the sound of the slight hiss or skip on a track makes me smile and often triggers as many memories as the track itself)

The detail of the artwork is generally lost on the cd cover. And some are probably no longer available. One of the days I will get a new record player.

Actually, Hard Nutz was the name of the album, and I agree, it's a great version of one more cup of coffee...

Got me on Milk & Alcohol! (and was it played at the Grove?)
That's the only one that springs to mind! I remember the video - just one snare drum! What else did Dr Feelgood have?

Not sure Roundy, great song. Another is " As long as the Price is Right "

Front man was Wilko Johnson.

Back in the Night is another of their Grove ones I think.  Y'all must remember the classic "Down at the Doctors"!!

CP, Milk and Alcohol was, I'm sure, played down the Grove too!

My favourite old Quo track is "Mystery Song" but Caroline is another absolute classic. 'Rocking all over the world' is one I remember going down (or is that down down?) really well at the Grove too!

Was 'Living in the Past' the only Tull song played? Aqualung seems the other obvious one but I don't remember it.

(then again, there's a lot we don't remember from those heady nights...)

In my day Cecil played "A Christmas Song" by Jethro Tull.  Not sure I have the title but it was a great slow track. Also played Living In The Past and Witches Promise.

Bluebell, your getting your maths mixed up. 2+2 do not always make 4 you know!!!

Funny, my nana used to say she was 61 for years. Even when my mam was almost that age.

And if you're 42 then you're older than me and I didn't need to lie about my age that much. Just a habit!!
