Due to popular demand and the success of the 40th Anniversary,
we've decided to go ahead with the Summer Grove Reunion. It will be held on Saturday July 21st at The Shieling Hotel. Keep an eye on the site for when tickets will go on sale. It won't be for at least a couple of weeks. Spread the word! ------------- I'm not even supposed to be here today! |

Hey Donal......congrats on becoming a groupie keep posting and before you know it you'll be a senior. The reunions are always on at christmas, Easter , summer and halloween, so try to time your trip home around then and you'll make a reunion.

I don't know what has come over me. I think it started with the grove reunion. I went to Gibbo's on Sunday to see loose change, heard them doing a song from an Irish band I had never heard off, Whippingboy.( when we were young ) Went out on Monday bought the album and haven't stopped listening to it since. LOL, Dancing at weddings is always Gas I remember looking on in amazement at my own wedding....the band were playing Sweet Home Alabama, My hubby and the Best Man were headbanging away along with a bunch of our mates and right next to them my folks were waltzing! And Amazingly both "Styles" were perfectly in time!!! Think about it 1...2....1....2

Have been twice and love the place, would love to go to the Grand Prix and maybe stay in Perth for a while.... dont know how i managed it but looks like the drinks are on me when i get there... Lynn was a big big F1 fan and sort of got fed up with it as Schuey kept winning and it got a bit repetitive. Hasn't watched it since. We'd walk into her folks house on a Sunday and her dad would be glued to it and wether you liked it or not you'd get a full run down of every single thing that happened in the race. Then if there was a rugby match on he'd say 'Have you been watching this?' and I'd say 'No-don't really follow rugby' and he'd say 'well let me tell you what you've missed' and proceed to give a run down of every minute of the game. Hey you know Shuey reminds me of Man utd in the late 90's early 2000's, so good and unbeatable that the ruling body brings in new rules to pull em back to the pack instead of allowing all the others a good chance of improving and catching up. I remember Sir Alex saying it was up to everyone else to try and catch them rather than letting Utd let everyone catch them, if you know what I mean, and I think F1 brought in a load of rules to stop Shuey winning all the time and even the comp up. I totaly agree with you Donal, F1 did everything they could think of to stop Michael from winning, but the man was just too good  I know a lot of people got bored with him winning all the time........not me though I could watch him race and win forever

Hey Mel and Joan, even when he physically stops attending the reunions we will always be close to his heart as he will be to ours. When Carol (and many other others) thanked him for helping to shape our youth he is adamant that it was a joint effort because we provided the feedback that helped him to play the music we all enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, for so long. I think it would be great craic if he could attend and just sit at a table, be left alone to just be a voyeur watching his proteges having a ball. B ------------- Life is for living |

As one of the OLDER members I would be honored if Cecil would join us at a table with Marty and Co. We would have some great stories as we were all Chasin' at the same time late 60's early 70's and a few names were common to the "in crowd " !!!!!!. Can't say too much here --just in case !!!!

What's happening this re-union? As in when is kick off? Last Halloween we had the documentary screened before the main event,then at Christmas we had the live bands,so what about next week? Documentary again? On the subject of membership numbers.....I was 2147 but that was in about '75-'76. Numbers must've been reused at some stage if 2170 was issued in '72?

I know I donīt deserve it but can a gang of you all get together and get at least ONE decent group shot at the Reunion of as many GSC Members as poss..maybe a nice partner will oblige so the usual photographers ie.
