LOL I got sound a few times only to hear the mention of Columbus Ohio but nothing else!!! Stop talking about me....lol... I want to know what's being said!!! Damn the suspense is killing me.. Andy.....just wondering how many reunions are planned for this year? Cos at the christmas reunion you mention that 3 are planned ....was this a mistake cos we normally have 4 reunions a year. Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas.

I think there was originally only going to be 3 reunions in 2007. I remember Andy was going to drop the Summer one last year(I could be wrong) but didn't in the end probably because it was the last one in the Sheiling ?? Sorry about my absence, but I needed to get away from work and clear the mind before 2008 takes it's grip. So, now with batteries half charged, I'm easing into it all again. So, to answer the question about the reunions, yes there will be only 3 this year, and we'll take it from there. Too much of a good thing and all that! Definitely one at Easter and probably Hallowe'en and Christmas then after that. Not sure yet. Might ditch the Hallowe'en one and try one in September, as Hallowe'en and Christmas come very close together. Just thinking out loud here. Maybe spread them more evenly over the year. But we'll see... bank holidays do have their advantages.

It's in your hands Andy-we would go to them every month-every week if they were on. You are right though-let's not 'fleadh' it (as they'd say in Cork) and kill it completely. I did think think Halloween was a little close to Christmas and far away from the summer but a re-union is a re-union and they all seem to work. I did think last Christmas (06) in the Shieling was a little quiet and a couple of members did say everyone was fed up drinking and most people drove instead. If there is to be only three (still not sure why-funds?) then maybe four months apart,eg Easter,Summer and Hallowe'en? Would it be right or wrong to drop the Christmas one? Hallowe'en always sees great effort made with fancy dress. Again-you guys are the mods and your efforts are very very much appreciated-whenever the re-unions are. ------------- There are three kinds of people in the world,those who are able to count,and those who can't... |
