Hi Biker Pat,
I lived most of my life in Artane, over near the old Kilmore Road side. If you lived in Celtic Park, did you know Chris McMorrow, Alan Scott or David Malin? They all lived in or around that vicitity.

Yeah - she was with me at the reunion on Sunday - gave me great sl*gging for creating history and asking Cecil to dance - - we've also been at the last 3 reunions - really great - - did you go to school with her? - - she is also a member on the forum so you should post a note to her.

I did go to school with her, I'm from St.Annes also. She used to pal with Ita, Orla, Joan - we were all pals and hung around the park back in the day. I'll post a note to her indeed.
Good for you asking Cecil to dance! Did he accept?

Hi Biker Pat,
that is amazing! I went out with Chris many moons ago and when I was recently at home in Dublin I met him for coffee! He has not changed a bit and still looks as young as he did 20 years ago. Wish I had the secret of that! I keep in contact with him via email and believe or not but I did send this site to him after I first discovered it and to the best of my knowledge he has not signed up!!! He is probably too busy making millions on his art. He is very talented at art and I am very honored to say that I still have the birthday card that he made me for my 21st birthday, so I am the proud owner of an Original McMorrow Masterpiece!!!!
You probably know Tyrone Arkins then and maybe my cousin Thomas (Thosie) Fitzsimons...he was motorbike obsessed to put it mildly!

PS. Did you reside in Brookwood Ave as I recall he had a brother who lived there. The funny thing is when you brought up your 'iddentity crisis' issues over your address, the first person I thought of was Christopher as it must indeed be hereditary as he suffered from a similar disposition back then. He claimed that he lived in Beaumont and I always thought that was Donnycarney. In the strictest of confidence I even consulted the phone directory to see who was right!!!!!! I hope that he has more clarity of mind as to his where abouts out in Celbridge!!!!!

Here's an oldie thread.
I was in Derek Farrell's (SUNSTORM) house tonight. We had a great chat about music, the Grove, records, concerts etc...
Derek has some record/CD/DVD collection. Biggest I've ever seen.
And he has some great stories from the original days.
And he was kind enough to give me copies of some DVD's and a record. Many thanks my friend.
Whilst we were talking we mentioned connecting people who may have known each other before so I decided to resurrect this thread.

My God Taylor-you're back! How do you do sir???
Derek,I know I've met you in St.Annes many moon ago,I'm so sure you are the same Mr. Farrell.
Lived in Brookwood Avenue during early Grove years, very handy for coming home every Saturday night, then had a flat on Castle Avenue for a while, very handy for parties after the Grove on a Saturday night...
Moved to Cork for a change for a few years, came back to Dublin (Balbriggan) to marry a girl who worked in our office...we now swapped Dublins hustle and bustle for the green fields of Wexford.
(We don't actually live in a field...we did manage to buy a house...)

Jaz, I went to school with The Brophy Twins and was a friend of Derek Farrell. I even delivered milk for Dublin Dairies while going to Killester Tech. You must be just a tad younger Taylor if you helped those guys on their rounds as I am their age.
I started my life on Clanhugh Road, Donneycarney.
Moved to Harmonstown when I was 5. We were actually the FIRST family to move in to the first 2 finished houses on Harmonstown Road. Our neighbours were the Downes' The Brookwood Rise end was still a field and the upper end (Now Edenmore) was also a field and came even later. Used to play in the river.
Left for the U.S. when I was 20.
The big advantage coming from Donneycarney was that I could walk thru there without getting in a fight....LOL...As I continued to go to Scoil Ciaran, then Killester Tech.

I lived in Montrose Close right beside what is now Beaumont church and schools though it was just fields then. In fact the address was/still is Artane Dublin 5 because when the houses were built and we moved in you couldn't get into the estate from the Beaumont side at all, and the only way in was off the Kilmore Road. .Skellys Lane was just a dirt track with berry bushes

I remember Skelly's lane well. I knew people who lived in Beaumount Crescent so would cycle home through Skelly's Lane. Once when it was raining I fell off my bike and was coated head to toe in mud.
