I was just reading an article someone had written about the post Grove disco in St.Pauls,that was called Club G.It said that it was full of scum bags,and that it was a pity the Grove as we know it had stopped.
I heard the name Club G,but know nothing about it ??? was Cecil the DJ ? what type of music was played ? can anyone answer these questions ? ------------- upon us all,a little rain must fall |

My godson went a few times. He said it was crap and full of scumbags. He didn't go back very often. Glad it wasn't called the Grove. ------------- Lesley 25th June - 25th July. Get organising my nights out. Child can stay in the car. Grove 1980-1984 |

I dont remember Club G but I do remember going to some live bands at St Pauls before the grove got there. ------------- Dayo Grov'in 70 - 76 |

Could it stand for Club Geroffmeyamuppet? Heard the name alright, & the stories of it being full of little scumbags. Glad The Grove's illustrious name wasn't dragged into it.
