Hiya gang, When I went to the Grove originally, bands like Japan, Human League, Heaven 17, Spandau Ballet, Tears For Fears, Big Country, Depeche Mode were played by Cecil, in addition to all the Rock N' Roll. What did you do when some of those bands were played? Did you dance (or attempt to dance in my case) to the music, sit down, or just go out for some air or a smoke? Personally, I "usually" made a half-arsed attempt to dance to the song, since some of my friends liked the music, but just wondering how other people felt? ------------- TPFKAB (The Poster Formerly Known As Brunswick). |

Rock on Mel, I have a few 45's from some of the above artists. Some nice songs from the said artists but personally I am glad I never had to attempt to dance to them.......... Not that I'm anything of a dancer anyway......... But the 80's brought a more synthesizer kind of sound that I personally hated, there were a few exceptions, but the absence of guitars didn't do it for me. Actually more times than not I just liked listening to those groups in question.I would just hum the tunes to myself Human Leaugue would have been my favorite out of the list But the loudness of the music in the Grove was great,something you couldn't do at home. ------------- Grover from 73(old Grove) In the year of the bankers and developers When recession raged across the land there were many driven by the hopelessness to set sail for the Americas and Australia |

That was my kind of music along with the few goth tunes Cecil played so yes, I would have been up dancing.  Hey Andy....can we swap DM's 'Just Can't Get Enough' for Japan's 'Quiet Life' at tonight's reunion? Dunno about anyone else but I really HAVE got enough of that song! Jen  ------------- "Gentlemen!
