Peter,

Re music on the night, I suppose it really depends on the crowd that's there.  I suppose you'll get an idea of what's going down well when you play songs and just go with more of that.  Stick with the old reliables anyway, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Lizzy, Doors, Sabbath, Deep Purple etc., then just splash other stuff in between, Bowie, Cure, Cult, ZZ Top, Mission, Siouxsie etc.....I'm just throwing names out here, you'll probably get a 'feel' for what they want on the night, not to mention getting requests from the floor.  Good luck!!

Peter,

Why not just stick with Black Russian as your DJ name.

On the night I expect to hear Rush (Bastille Day), Metallica (Enter Sandman), Foo Fighters (any), QOUTSA (any), Rainbow (anything from the Dio era), Whitesnake (Ready and Willing), UFO (Doctor Doctor), MamasBoys (Needle in the groove), Edgar Winter (Frankenstein), as well as a selection from Zep, AC/DC, Sabbath, Purple, Lizzy, Free, Bad Co., Van Halen (anything from the first album), Floyd, Atomic Rooster, Saxon, The Cult.

(If Pat is coming you better include some Creedence)

If you want to sprinkle in a couple of more recent tracks to introduce the audience to some "new" good stuff then you should look at Black Country Communion, Million $ Reload, Black Stone Cherry, Black spiders, Rival Sons (I can suggest a tracks if you want)

Black Country and Smokestack Woman would be excellent choices for  BCC tracks.

You could be a modern day Cecil and introduce people to excellent bands and music they hadn't listened to before - with this in mind Stay Down by Black Spiders, Isolation by Alter Bridge, Fire Your Guns by Million $ Reload, would be excellent additions to the set list.

ANyway .I'llbe on Pat Courtenay within a half hour..I've rang in prior to explain again. Also, The Grove has not been mentioned at ALL on The Temple of Rock page on facebook or in any advertising-just sayin'
