When drilling a hole in the ceiling drill through a paper cup first to catch the dust.
When drilling a wall, tape a cornflake box below the drilling point. .  Do not position your head directly behind the hammer when nailing a picture to a wall.  |

It's not considered funny when asked if you have anything to declare by a customs official at the US-Canadian border to say-"I declare tis terrible weather we are having" in a Cork accent.
