Went to see The Dark Knight yesterday evening.

It is great. HEATH LEDGER Steals the show completely, blows Jack Nicholsons Joker away.

As for Christian Bale, he's good but his stupid voice for Batman annoyed the bejaysus outta me! Completely overshadowed by everyone else in the movie i felt.

Brilliant stuff.

Heath Ledger RIP...why is it they do their best work and die

Also saw "Wanted" this week. Absolutely brill action all the way through but  felt the last bit of dialogue at the last few seconds of the movie made it cheesy... As always Angelina Jolie plays a great action role, what she's best at.

Went to see mama Mia other night with Mum and sisters have to say really enjoyed it very cheesy but Meryl streep was fantastic as the Mum and Colin Firth is great and gorgeous as always

And yes I know Pierce Brosnan cant sing but it really doesnt matter.

Ok get this movie review thread back on track with "Proper movies"

Went to see Batman "The Dark Knight" and it was ah ok only could have done better Only kidding it was excellent. Was waiting on this for months and I wasn't disappointed Heath Ledger was fantastic as the Joker and played him the way he was originally intended "Pyscho". Movie is very dark mood to it, and I agree with Star Batman voice was a bit annoying?(I only noticed it beacause Star said it). Movie starts off and just keeps getting better and better. The movie could have been just as good without the costumes and made a proper Mobs/cops movie too

Getting back on to "Proper movies", I went to see Hancock with my eldest.  As one who has never read the Marvel comics etc I had no idea what I was heading in for and I have to say, it was quite good.  The film had a good twist in it and overall well worth the few quid spent seeing it.  My advice, its a good movie and one worth spending the time stuffin your face with popcorn, cheezy nachos and fizz watching.

Saw Mamma Mia last week with my girls. Its fluff but enjoyable fluff. Thought Meryl Streep was very good but Julie Walters stole every scene. "Aural prozac!"

Dying to see the Dark Knight! Once the other half is back I think I'll drag Andrew along to see it. I'd also like to see 'Wanted' but I'll probably end up waiting till it comes out on dvd. I don't get to the cinema as often as I'd like.

Went to see " Mamma Mia" last night. I loved it, all the stars were brilliant in it.......even Pierce Brosnan who can't sing to save his life but really funny for trying. The theatre was packed and everyone sang along with all the songs and at the end were dancing in their seats......not something you see at the movies everyday.

Sounds like it was a good night out. Will "Mamma Mia" be the new cult like the "Rocky Horror Show" was before?

Finno,   NOONE here will go to mamma mia with me.   Hubby told me to get lost !!!   Son said "thats a girls film and I would not be seen dead with my mother"   Daughter saw it in Dublin and loved it but won't go again.    Guess I'll have to get a mac and sit in the back on my own
