I was just reading an article someone had written about the post Grove disco in St.Pauls,that was called Club G.It said that it was full of scum bags,and that it was a pity the Grove as we know it had stopped.
I heard the name Club G,but know nothing about it ??? was Cecil the DJ ? what type of music was played ? can anyone answer these questions ? |

No it wasn't Cecil it was some other guy that done DJ and I think he made an appearance on Blind Date with Cilla... It was all dance music... Never went |

My godson went a few times. He said it was crap and full of scumbags. He didn't go back very often.
Glad it wasn't called the Grove. |

I dont remember Club G but I do remember going to some live bands at St Pauls before the grove got there.

Could it stand for Club Geroffmeyamuppet? Heard the name alright, & the stories of it being full of little scumbags. Glad The Grove's illustrious name wasn't dragged into it.
