Hi, trying to track down an ex from 1983. Her name is Maeve Donnelly and she lived in Portmarnock, behind Tomangos. Met her in the Grove in mid-'83. Haven't seen her in 27 years. Anyone know her? I'd love to say hello and catch up. Believe she is still in the area. Joe Doyle

Hiya Joe, and welcome to the site.  I went to the Grove around your time as well but, unfortunately, I dont know a 'Maeve Donnelly'.  Hopefully there's someone on the site that knows her though.  Good luck!!

Hi Joe,
That was during my time at the Grove. She probably went to Tamangoes afterwards too, don't know her but will ask friends still in Dublin and see if anybody knows her.
What school did she go to??

Check out Dondon.

He's Gerry Donnelly and he may have a connection to Maeve.

" Have You Seen Her" - The Chilites

Oh, I see her face everywhere I go
On the street, and even at the picture show
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Oh, I hear her voice as the cold winds blow
In the sweet music on my radio
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Why, oh, why
Did she have to leave and go away (oh, yeah)

Oh-oh-oh, I've been used to havin' someone to lean on
And I'm lost
Baby, I'm lost (Oh)

Oh, she left her kiss upon my lips
But left that break within my heart
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Oh, I see her hand reaching out to me
Only she can set me free
Have you seen her?
Tell me, have you seen her?

Hiya Joe...jump in the rest of the site around here while you're waiting-you're sure to know a few others.

Meantime,Finno might (only just might!) have some input as he has some Portmarnock connections.

Welcome in!

Ah, Gary - is there no romance in your heart?

Ah, no, seriously, its just nice to maybe meet up with old friends after many a year and chat about 'old times' (as a friend, like! )

Before you post the link I suggest you consider if it is really suitable for the sensitive souls on this site. We have seen you out of your tree when headbanging and some who saw it were scarred for life! Perhaps youl will do a greek dancing demo live at the reunion?

And why did you post under this topic?

Good spot UA. I meant to post it under the First Dance thread Doh! I don't see a lift and shift facility here unless the moderator can assist and save my blushes. Too late!
