It's only 1.16 here and loverly outside!!!! It was 7 last night before it got dark! Clocks not going back until next weekend here! Don't ya wish you were here! Going here in a minute to watch "The Bold and The Beautiful"...... |

With you on this Lenny. Hate these dark evenings. That's why in 49 days I'm outta here for 6 weeks in Thailand  Wouldn't spend a full winter here again and as I go mid December I don't get caught up in all that Christmas shopping hassle. |

With you on this one Lenny I hate this time of year going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark. The only good thing is shooting season starts on Thursday so be warned anyone on DNS, I'll have me gun. If you drive around the Ballyboughal area and see a fella in army combats coming out of a ditch -wave -it could be me |

I went to the shops today to get halloween things for Finn. We walked up to where they were last week and the shelves were bare and 3 women were stocking them with Christmas decorations!! We haven't even done halloween yet!! Waaaaaait!!!!! |

Ah Lenny, don't start with the Christmas countdown. We haven't even done Halloween yet! I don't mind the dark evenings so much, it's getting up for work while it's still dark that kills me. I'm not a morning person at the best of times so for me, that's the most depresseing thing of all! Jen |

Ok confession time here Teresa...I also sometimes watch The Bold and The Beautiful" but I prefare " Days of our Lives".....  I also hate the dark nights but I love Christmas can't wait to hear all the xmas tunes in the shops and the late night shopping, buying pressies and wrapping them, christmas cards,christmas party's, christmas trees and christmas grove reunions  . Was in Next on Saturday and they had all their christmas stuff up........Roll on December 25th |

Dark evenings can be a pain but winter has its advantages too. Nice long evenings to relax and do the things we wanted to do in the Summer but never got around too. A time to reflect also, to thank God you have a roof over your head, shoes on your feet and a meal on the table...........................so its not all darkness - always light at the end of the tunnel. Depressing ? no Enlightening yes. So enjoy each season as it comes V Edited by verh |

yep, love the seasons, especially Autumn. Put the lights on my push bike today, just finished cutting out the pumpkin - looks great, will take a pic during the week.
As for Christmas, I ignore all the hype and rushing around. When I see something that'd make a nice pressie, I'll get it and keep it till Christmas. If you want to see madness, go into Smyths or the like in a week or 2 and watch people panicking. (mind you, on second thoughts I'll probably be there on Christmas Eve panicking) Think I'll check out flights.... |
